Per the recommendation of the CDC, Church of God of San Jose will not be holding in-person services or events of any size until further notice due to the spread of COVID-19. In addition, our church offices will be closed until May 3rd at the earliest. We will return to in-person services as soon as possible. In the meantime, our staff is creating resources to help us stay connected. Though we might not be able to come to church, let us continue to be the church! If you have a need or are willing to help meet the needs of others, please reach out to us by phone or email!
In the last several weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our entire world. For most of us, this has affected every area of life, including the weekly rhythms of our church, whether that’s a midweek community group or a Sunday worship service. So to encourage and equip you to continue to follow after Christ and grow faithfully through this unprecedented time, our church will be providing resources that can serve families, small groups, and individuals on a weekly basis.
Every Sunday morning, you’ll find a new selection of Church @ Home resources that will guide you through a time of worship, prayer, and Scripture study. Parents can also find engaging Sunday School resources for their kids on PromiseLand TV. During the week, check out our Grow @ Home resources to continue to cultivate your relationship with Jesus! We hope these resources will provide you with opportunities to generate Jesus-centered conversations at home.
Our PromiseLand Children's Ministry Team had a problem to solve: how do we continue to do meaningful church experiences while our facilities are closed? So we partnered with our friends at Life.Church and Orange to provide full-length video services that include worship, a message, interactive elements, discussion time, and more! Check out PromiseLand TV now.
PromiseLand TV features three different channels for different age groups (Little Kids, Big Kids, Preteens). Be sure to download the activity sheets that accompany each lesson.
Our 9:30 am worship service and 11:00 Bible studies are temporarily cancelled due to the county recommendations regarding Coronavirus.
Because strict adherence to the guidelines provided by the CDC for public gatherings would make it logistically impossible to hold regular church programs, our regular Sunday services are on hold until further notice. Midweek community group meetings are also on hold.
In the meantime, we encourage you to check out our Church @ Home resources for adults and PromiseLand TV for families with children for Sunday worship options, and Grow @ Home for midweek Bible study.
