Per the recommendation of the CDC, Church of God of San Jose will not be holding in-person services or events of any size until further notice due to the spread of COVID-19. In addition, our church offices will be closed until April 8th at the earliest. We will return to in-person services as soon as possible. In the meantime, our staff is creating resources to help us stay connected. Though we might not be able to come to church, let us continue to be the church! If you have a need or are willing to help meet the needs of others, please reach out to us by phone or email!
In the last few weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has disrupted our entire world. For most of us, this has affected every area of life, including the weekly rhythms of our church, whether that’s a midweek community group or a Sunday worship service. In partnership with our friends at BibleProject, we are providing a resource that can serve families, small groups, and individuals during this unique time.
Every week, you’ll find a new BibleProject video, along with some suggested Scripture readings that focus on the ideas explored in the video. You’ll also see some suggested discussion questions for each Scripture reading that could be used for a group conversation or personal reflection. It is our prayer that these resources will provide you with opportunities to generate Jesus-centered conversations at home.
Our PromiseLand Children's Ministry Team had a problem to solve: how do we continue to do meaningful church experiences while our facilities are closed? So we partnered with our friends at Life.Church to provide full-length video services that include worship, a message, interactive elements, discussion time, and more!
Just click the link to the right and your kids can watch the service on our media player. Be sure to download the activity sheets that accompany each lesson.
SPECIAL NOTE: March 22, 2020
Our 9:30 am worship service and 11:00 Bible studies have been temporarily postponed due to the county recommendations regarding Coronavirus.
Because strict adherence to the guidelines provided by the CDC for public gatherings would make it logistically impossible to hold regular church programs, our regular Sunday services will be cancelled for March 22, March 29 and April 5. Midweek community group meetings will also be postponed through April 7 at least.
